Terms of Service

By creating a Furbase account or using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use Furbase.

These Terms form a binding legal agreement between you (“Groomer” or “User”) and Furbase (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Furbase provides appointment management, client record-keeping, and business tools designed for independent dog groomers. We offer both free and paid plans.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
• Each account is for a single business. Sharing accounts is not permitted.
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

You agree not to:

• Use Furbase for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems
• Use automated means to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the service

As a groomer using Furbase, you are the data controller for your clients’ personal data under UK GDPR. Furbase acts as your data processor. This means:

• You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store client data.
• You must inform your clients that their data is stored using Furbase.
• You are responsible for responding to your clients’ data rights requests.
• You must not enter data about individuals without their knowledge unless you have a legitimate basis to do so.

A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) governing our processor relationship is available on request at legal@furbase.app.

All content, software, and intellectual property in Furbase (excluding your data) belongs to Furbase or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software or content without our written permission.

You retain ownership of all data you enter into Furbase. By using our service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that data solely to provide the service.

• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as chosen at sign-up.
• Prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Refunds are offered at our discretion; contact us within 14 days of a charge if you believe it was in error.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice to active subscribers.

We will store your data for as long as your account remains active. You may export your data at any time from Settings → Export data and delete your account from Settings → Danger Zone.

On account deletion, all your data (including client records, appointments, and uploaded files) is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

We may retain anonymised or aggregated data for analytics after deletion.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Furbase is provided on an “as is” basis. We are not liable for any downtime, data loss, or business interruption caused by service outages.

Support is available via email at legal@furbase.app. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Furbase’s total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, even if advised of the possibility.

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may delete your account via Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active users by email at least 14 days before significant changes take effect. Continued use of Furbase after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
